There are ways to speed up booting Windows XP, follow the following steps:

1. Open notepad and type DEL C: \ windows \ prefetch \ *.* / Q and save it with
ntosboot.bat name.

2. Press the windows key + R, then type gpedit.msc.

3. Open Computer Configuration> Windows Settings> Scripts. Then, double-click
Shutdown times.


4. In the Shutdown Properties window, click Add> Browse, and enter the file
"ntosboot.bat" that you saved earlier and click Open.


5. Click on OK.

6. Press WinKey + R, then type devmgmt.msc.

7. Double click on "IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers".



8. Double-click Primary IDE Chanel to open Properties.


9. Click the Advanced Settings tab. In the device 0 or device 1, change the Device Type to None. Click on OK.


10. Double-click Secondary IDE Chanel to open Properties. Do the
same as step 9.

and now you try to RESTART your COMPUTER, definitely feel different.
